The Carter Review of the commissioning of specialised services recognised the important relationship between specialised commissioning and a range of clinical networks e.g. Cancer Networks, Cardiac Networks. The Yorkshire and the Humber PCTs have agreed to review the role and remit of clinical networks to ensure their key functions support the commissioning arrangements including the arrangements for commissioning specialised services.
